The symbol is expressed as an image of a sophisticated city, including coexisting and continuously developing culture by linking two circles - which represent one nucleus that symbolizes the sophisticated industrial city and the other nucleus that symbolizes the brilliant culture - through a Mobius strip that represents countless possibilities. It also expresses the active electronic motion as a space orbit, symbolizing the city's limitless power that is leading the world's sophisticated industries.

Logotype and Typeface

Logotype

The logotype and symbol are key parts in all visual media representing Gumi, and they aim to express the official name of Gumi. The logotype, which is specifically designed to deliver the image of Gumi, was crafted by taking into account its unity with the city’s symbol. The logotype should be adjusted according to the shapes of the fonts, so the characters' shapes, thickness, spacing, etc. should not be changed arbitrarily. The logotype’s official color is black, and it may only change to white when used on dark ground. Depending on the situation, GUMI-Gold and GUMI-Silver may be used.

Typeface

The typeface, which was based on the composition principle of the Gumi logotype, was crafted by achieving a certain contrast with the logotype and by combining it with the applied environment. The typeface was developed to express the major names of the signs, document formats, etc., and it is applied in various publicity materials to promote the image of Gumi.

Signature

The signature, which is a systematic combination of the symbol and logotype, is a system that expresses the image of Gumi. The signature is used in diverse media for publicity, signs, document formats, etc., and it was developed in different ways according to functional requirements. Depending on the applied media situation, signatures can be appropriately selected and used after considering the applied space, layout, etc. Three types of Korean, Chinese, and English signatures were developed in the combination of the symbol and the logotype. The signature symbol color should be expressed as GUMI-Blue, and the logotype color should be expressed as GUMI-Black. That is the priority of the signature expression. The symbol and logotype, when expressed in a single color, can all be expressed in GUMI-Black, depending on the applied environment.
