The character is represented by a friendly, warmhearted image, and it helps promote various events and campaigns and communicate publicity messages to the public. While the symbol delivers a formative, abstract image, the character provides Gumi an image that is outgoing and warm. The character was named TOMI after combining tortoise, the intelligence and sensibility of the new millennium and the golden age, and the intelligence of sophisticated information technology. The electronics' speed and the tortoise's intelligence, through symbols, represent the forward-thinking spirit of the city’s residents. The necktie symbolizes etiquette and humanity, representing a city of sophisticated technology and human productivity.

Mascot

The mascot represents Gumi’s friendly and dynamic image to help promote various events and campaigns, and to deliver publicity messages to the public. Around 10 application motions of the mascot were developed, and they can be used appropriately depending on the situation.
